Nation Under Judgment – Romans I

“He who has an ear let him hear.” Matthew 11:15, Revelation 2:29.

Romans I presents a blueprint for separation and judgment like we see in America, and all across the world today.

If you don’t have a few minutes for the videos, scroll down and read Romans 1:18-32. It’s worth a careful read and contemplation. We cannot afford to ignore the powerfully obvious reality of our current culture.

Along with idolatry, aberrant sexuality is the prime characteristic of a nation under judgment. No amount of twisting scripture on this subject will change the truth, and widescale repentance is the only answer. The reason you you see an exponential increase in sexual perversion and gender confusion is a by product of God taking his hand off the nation and allowing it.

The sexual revolution began in the 1940’s when societal views on sex began to change from procreation to self-expression, then came birth control, removal of prayer in public schools, abortion, and a progressing dismissal of God’s design for the family and sexuality, and God as a whole. Today’s world is heavily pornified and glorifies sex in almost all forms.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 Darkness prevails in the absence of light. Do we want to continue operating in darkness, or be the salt and light as God commands?

Romans I :18-32

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been Clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity.

They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Widescale repentance and salvation is the answer.

Romans I: 1-4

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
